FAUCET REPAIRS / REPLACEMENT There are now hundreds of different faucet manufacturers on the market. We can provide products from most of these manufacturers. Our plumbers will also be happy to install faucets that you have purchased elsewhere.
Payless Plumbing also carries a large inventory of faucet repair parts that will satisfy most repair needs. Our experience allows us to identify needed repair parts for most faucets quickly and easily.
ICE MAKERS Payless Plumbing can provide and install all items necessary for refrigerator ice maker installations including:wall boxes, valves, braided stainless steel connectors, and filters.
POLYBUTYLENE PLUMBING Polybutylene plumbing was a popular water supply system in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Although no longer available for new installations, we carry all necessary materials to repair these systems. We also have extensive experience in total repipe or replacement of Polybutylene systems.
SINKS Homeowners now have many choices when it comes to sinks. Newer sinks are often much more complicated to install properly.We can provide you with a large selection of sinks and will professionally install them.
TOILETS Tanks and bowls are made of vitreous china and are impervious to ordinary household acids. If something more than hot water and soap is needed to clean them, apply a non- abrasive powder or cleaner. Many good bowl cleaners are on the market today. We have found that the "blue water" continuous bowl cleaners tend to accelerate the deterioration of the rubber and neoprene parts in the tank, due to the chemicals they contain. Seat bumpers should be replaced if worn. Defective bumpers may cause breakage of the seat or hinges. Stains or moisture at the base of the closet bowl indicate that the joint or seal between the closet and its outlet have failed and should be reset immediately to prevent rotting of the floor, damage to the plaster of the ceiling below, and possible leakage of sewer gas into the home.We also carry a wide variety of toilet repair parts and our experience allows us to identify and locate parts for nearly every toilet ever made.
URINALS We can provide urinals and other commercial fixtures from most manufacturers. We offer traditional valves as well as the new sensor operated commercial valves and the new “waterless” urinals for even greater efficiency.
VALVES AND SHUT OFFS Payless will only use solid brass valves and shut-offs. Our new solid brass quarter turn stops will provide a lifetime of reliability.
WATER LEAKS If you find a leak in your plumbing system shut off the water supply and call your Payless at once. Water supply systems are under high pressure. Temporary repairs are only temporary and wrapping the pipe usually fails. Leaks must have immediate attention, since they can progress into a serious break in a hurry. SUMP PUMPS
If you have a sump pump, be sure that it is always in good operating condition so that it will be ready to function when it is needed. Oil it carefully in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Make it operate occasionally by tripping the lever after filling the basin particularly with water. Unless you do this every three or four months, there is danger that corrosion may cause a sticking of the shaft when operation is required.
